"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it."~ Upton Sinclair

The Bane of Wishful Thinking and Willful Denial.

We find ourselves on an enormous planet floating in the vastness of space, amidst as many galaxies as we see stars and yet quite often we don't seem to be able to see what's right in front of our faces.

Perception is mysterious thing. One hundred people can witness the same event and yet many will recount very different descriptions of what they experienced. Usually it's because so much of what we perceive is a product of interpretation. How we interpret what we experience is largely based on descriptions of reality we adopt from other people. Over time, most of us form rigid ideas of how the world works and what things mean. As we age, it's as if lenses are put in front of our eyes that color every experience.

If you strongly believe something to be true, it can prevent you from seeing that it's not true. If you believe you can trust someone, that they are honest and upright, that belief will color your perception of everything that person does. Most of us have experienced the rude awakening that happens when we realize that someone we trusted was a total fraud. It's horrible. One second all is right with the world, the next moment we're flush with confusion and disbelief. We've all said it. "How could they do that to me? How could I have trusted them?"

What I would like everyone to reflect on is how you felt before you realized the truth. Before you realized the truth, you saw the person in a totally different light that colored everything. Everything they said and did was taken in without your guard being up because you trusted them. You had no reason to doubt them. Suddenly, you can hardly even look at them. You can't stand the sound of their voice. How is this possible? How can you flip, almost instantly, from one perception to another? How is it possible for someone to fool you so completely? How is it possible for you to be so blind?

I'm not saying this to imply that we should suspect everyone in our lives of being insincere. I'm saying this to highlight the fact that this really happens. It's not unheard of. It's not some wacky notion. It really happens. It happens to most of us. I'm saying this because far too many see our political leaders as trustworthy. That belief blinds them to the truth that most politicians in our government do not deserve our trust. They have proven time and time again that most members of Congress do not have our best interest at heart.

The maniacal lunatics in control of our society know exactly how human beings tick and they are masters at manipulation. They know most of us are trusting souls. They know we don't assume people intend to deliberately mislead us. They know they can put people that "appear to be sincere" in Congress and we'll fall for it repeatedly. If you understand how this dynamic works and how to wield it you literally have a cocktail capable of producing everything from personal delusions to mass hypnosis. You can put someone in front of millions of people and they will "believe" simply because they want to. Far too many people in this country still trust the government. They don't have their guard up and our nation is going down because of it.

The good news is once a person "wakes up" to the fact that they are being manipulated it becomes considerably harder for those in control to get away with it. I highly recommend you watch this presentation called "The Turning of the Tide." It is a brilliant description of what is being done to manipulate us and how we end up "self-policing each other." I also recommend you watch this short little clip from an interview with historian William Blum, "The Road To Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions."

Believe it or not, there is such a thing as objective reality. The ability to perceive it is a skill. An example of objective reality is the fact that you will burn your hand if you stick it into a flame. Everyone who doesn't have mystical powers will burn their hand if they stick it into a flame no matter how much you wish it weren't so. It's an objective reality that is true for everyone.

Another objective reality is everyone who stands out in the rain will get wet. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You stand in a downpour and you get soaked. It's an objective reality you cannot make go away simply because you don't want to believe it's true.

It is an objective reality that our members of Congress won't stop doing what they are doing no matter how much we wish they would. As hard as it is to believe, the objective reality is that Congress has authorized everything that's happened so far. The objective truth is most members of Congress don't care that you're upset. The vast majority of Congress is not interested in stopping what's happening. Not in the least bit. The only thing they care about is keeping their positions in Congress.

You can't continue to believe the people in our government are trying to do the right thing simply because it's too painful for you to face the objective truth. Think about it. If they wanted to do what's right they certainly wouldn't be doing what they are doing. They would not have done things like turn total control of our monetary system and the U.S. Treasury over to private international bankers and allowed them to steal 24 trillion in the last 10 months! That's more than double the entire Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the entire country folks! They would not be trying to cram a monstrous healthcare bill down our throats claiming it will solve a huge problem when Congress can't even manage to read the darn thing before they vote on it. How can people that can't even read the legislation be competent to solve anything or be trusted? How can what Congress is doing be coming from an intention to do the right thing?

Objective reality is staring us right in the face from every direction. It's time to stop your wishful thinking and admit once and for all most members of Congress cannot be trusted farther than the tip of your nose and they have to be removed from office before they do any more damage.

As far as willful denial goes, we have to stop insisting that political party ideology has anything to do with what is happening to our country. It's a total lie that a political ideology matters. BOTH parties are responsible for the boat we're in. They both have worked together to destroy our nation. They play the game of politics only to perpetuate the notion that the left/right ideologies plays some significant role in what goes on in Washington. It's a sham. It's a performance. It's as transparent as professional wresting if only you have eyes to see it.

The sham continues because far too many people want to believe the game of politics is real. Far too many of us would rather go to their graves clinging to the belief that everything would be okay if only Liberals ran the show, or Conservatives ran the show. Far too many people insist on believing it despite the evidence right in front of their eyes. We've had many years with the Conservatives in control and many years with the Liberals in control and look what we have. LOOK! It makes no difference!

There's no doubt that we have the numbers. Now we just have to teach everyone how to vote in order to effect real change.

A recent Rasmussen poll showed 57% of Americans want to remove the entire Congress and now the TWO-MILLION-citizen march on Washington that just occurred proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that a lot of Americans are fed up with our government.

If you want this amazing march on Washington to count for something, we have to follow it up by removing the traitors from office in the next election.

Marches and protests are great. It makes you feel like you're doing something about the mess we're in. What I'd like to know is whether you've ever thought about what the point of them is? To me the point of all protests and marches is to serve notice to members of Congress that we are mad as hell and we're not going to put up with their crap any more.

There's another notice that marches and protests proclaim. Every march and every protest has the implied threat that if members of Congress don't do the right thing we are going to remove them from office. So we just saw over 2 million people show up in Washington to serve notice that we are many and we are mad but how many of those 2 million realize the march will amount to a big fat ZERO if the exact same people are allowed to remain if office after the next election? Every current member of Congress will be on the ballot like they always are and unless we do something revolutionary in the next election, I guarantee you most every one of them will win reelection again. So, what's the point of a two million-citizen march on Washington if nothing changes in Congress?

It's not rocket science. In order to remove current members of Congress they must lose in the next election.

In order to make all our marches and protests count for something, the incumbents must lose in the next election. Someone other than the incumbent must get more votes in every Congressional district in order to remove an incumbent from office.

If you are serious about stopping the destruction of our country, you have to get sober about what we have to do. It's not going to stop until we get serious, deadly serious about holding members of Congress accountable for what they've done. The only question you should be asking is how do we make sure the bulk of members of Congress lose the next election?

You need to set aside every other consideration and simply ask yourself who stands the best chance of beating the incumbents in your district? You have to be willing to admit things are so bad it makes no difference who replaces them at this point. These people are people who have betrayed us for decades and must pay a price for what they've done. You have to realize until we make them pay a price nothing will change.

If we make them pay the price by removing them, it will be a wake-up call to everyone in government. Anyone who replaces the incumbents will know there is now a price to pay for betrayal. Every Freshman Congress-person, even if they are just as bad as the previous members we just fired, will KNOW there is now a price to pay. It's no longer a sure thing that once you're in Congress the gravy train will continue as long as you play the game. Everyone in government will be given notice, in no uncertain terms, the gravy train has been derailed because the American people are back in charge!

This campaign has the only voting strategy that stands any chance at all of removing incumbents and rendering vote tampering ineffectual. It will require everyone to become political atheists, willing to abandon their political identity for just one election, for the sake of the entire country, for the sake of our children's future. Everyone has to come to grips with the fact that political identity is what determines how most people vote. If we vote the way we always do, the incumbents will win. I guarantee it.

We have to vote in a revolutionary way. We have to simply identify who has the best chance of defeating the incumbents and throw all our votes to them. Throw money to the strongest challengers campaign. Yes, even if it makes you sick to do so. We all have to realize effective medicine always tastes bad, really bad. It's what we have to swallow if we want to heal our nation.

If we want to heal our nation, we must be willing to do what needs to be done. We must be willing to swallow bitter medicine. We all need to make up our minds and make them up fast. Do we want to save this country? Do we really? It's not going to happen all by itself. Everyone needs to come to grips with whether it's more important to cling to their political identity, the hollow conviction that left is better than right when the evidence is right in front of our faces shouting "It makes no difference!"

Both parties are responsible for the mess we're in. Political ideologies have nothing to do with what's happening. Politicians only pretend they have ideological convictions in order to make us believe that voting for one party or the other is going to make some big difference. This splits the power of our votes right down the middle and virtually ensures incumbents win every single time. To them, it's a game and we fall for it every time. It's a pure game of numbers for the powers-that-be. Very few members of Congress have any ideological values other than, "What's in it for me?"

If you want a peaceful revolution we have to do something revolutionary and peaceful. If we can get huge numbers of people to understand our voting strategy and get them to the polls to do it, we can remove the bulk of the current Congress. WE CAN . . . with your conviction and your help.
