Timothy Geitner is a smooth talking politician and earns a good deal of money. If he could not figure out his income taxes owed,then he should have consulted a CPA who would have figured it out for him. Then he could have paid and there wouldn't be all this fuss. He has committed a crime by not paying his taxes
