Trump's Choice For V.P....

Governor Susana Martinez,

New Mexico Incumbent Republican.

There have been many comments in social media regarding the selection of a vice president for Donald J. Trump...some good, some not so good....I would like to throw my selection into the ring just for fun.

I ran across an article about a female Hispanic Governor with many accolades that seemed very certain to qualify. After checking her bio and many articles written about this lady, I decided, I needed to write an article pressing the TRUMP organization for an answer.

As I am not holding my breath on the TRUMP organization to answer any time soon....I plowed on to the finish line with the accomplishments of my new heroine.....Governor Susana Martinez.

Ms. Martinez, is the first Latino Governor in New Mexico, she is tough as nails and a born leader according to some of the pundits. Ms. Martinez has served as Governor from 2011 to present.

Ms. Martinez, was originally a Democrat, however one fateful day, in 1995, she had lunch with some Republicans, and was forever changed.....her and her husband decided to switch parties and become Republicans....our gain, their loss.

Ms. Martinez is a tenacious, bulldog, bossy El Paso lady with a penchant for the underdog, and a born leader.

Her stand on border security is firm and her executive order for rescinding sanctuary status for illegal immigrants is a matter of record.

After becoming the first female Hispanic Governor of New Mexico, she banned all lobbyist from state agencies.....my kind of governor!

In 2012 she was asked about running as VP and turned down the offer with an emphatic NO means NO answer.

Governor Martinez is strong on opposing federal plans to accept more Syrian refugees and has stood firm on this issue.

In 2013, Time magazine listed Gov. Martinez as one of the top 100 “most influential people” in the world.

Gov. Martinez overall poll ratings for the governors being reelected in 2014.....was in the top 15 of a list of 50 governors up for reelection....with a 60% overall rating.

Could Gov. Martinez qualify for VP position, I believe her record proves the kind of VP she would be and our nation needs leaders that are not afraid to “stand up” and be counted and give the people a voice in the election process and decision making of our country.

I believe that Gov. Martinez could help to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

Are Christians Being Compromised or are they Compromising?

In the firestorm of events surrounding the coming elections.....I saw a trend develop in the debates early on.....Now every election since time immemorial has some how found a way to infer if not blatantly include a "profession of faith" to some degree. Are the Christians being compromised or are they just compromising.......I find this hard to answer....especially after reading Thomas Ertl's article entitled, "An Evangelical Analysis of The Trump Candidacy".

I quickly read the first paragraph, skimming of course, as I had to get to the protest in Fountain Hills, AZ and report on the TRUMP rally, but first I wanted to hear what this man had to say about Mr. TRUMP.....

As I read on....I found out that the article was NOT about TRUMP as it was about WE THE PEOPLE, you know, the ones doing the voting......and how we are influenced to vote one way or the other.

I found the article very interesting and enlightening to say the least....I also learned some important information like...who Theodore Beza was....great theologist of the 16th century, a must read.....

I found out from this article why I was voting the way I was voting and how I got to this place.

I also found myself siding with Thomas Ertl, it's always nice to find someone that thinks like you do, company and all, you know.....what I found most interesting was he kept my attention and I learned something about myself and I found a new read!

Of course candidate Trump probably already knows all this information, however, I thought I would pass it on to my readers. It is rather lengthy, but it is informative and that is important.

A little know GOP rule was put into place in 2011, to help Mitt Romney secure the nomination and prevent an outsider like Ron Paul from using delegate tricks to become the nominee or force a brokered convention: Rule 40b.

The rule is now haunting the GOP establishment as they watch their party apparatus getting dominated by Trump, and Trump beating them with their own rules to prevent such an occurrence from happening.

In Layman’s terms:
The Rule prevents a candidate who does not meet a qualifying threshold (which only Trump has reached) from being considered on the Second Ballot. In short: The establishment cannot stop Trump. It’s over.

Even John Boehner admits this.

Technically, most of the analysts citing Rule 40 are referring to the current version of Rule 40(b), which sets a certain minimum threshold for candidates at the Republican National Convention. According to this rule, candidates must arrive at the convention with a majority of the delegates from eight states or territories, or else they are disqualified from the first round. In most elections, this is a mere formality because the clear winner of the nomination is well-known before the convention begins, making the convention an extended infomercial for the party and its nominee.

Of course, there is good reason to suspect the Republican convention will be rather more exciting this year. Gidley noted there is apprehension among front-runner Donald Trump’s supporters that the GOP Establishment will use some “shenanigans” to “steal” the nomination from him at the convention. Among those shenanigans could be changing Rule 40 to bring candidates who don’t meet the established minimum threshold into the game.

There are two ghosts from the 2012 election haunting the Shakespearean drama of the 2016 primary, and Gidley invoked them both in a single breath: Ron Paul and Mitt Romney.
“This is actually called the ‘Ron Paul Rule.’ The Romney people put this in place,” Gidley explained. “The Establishment hurt Ron Paul, but I think this Establishment rule will actually help Donald Trump.”
ule 40 “was an effort to stop the Ron Paul faction from gaining traction at the convention,” Gidley recalled. “And now we see the fruits of that rule, which was designed to stop Ron Paul, could effectively stop the Establishment.”

“The second part of the rule is, you can’t even count votes for anybody else who doesn’t meet that threshold,” he pointed out. “So people can try to submit votes for other people — like Kasich, or like Rubio, or like Romney — but if you haven’t won a majority of the delegates in eight states, you can’t be on any ballot, at any time. First, second, third, fourth, fifth — it doesn’t matter.”

It has been suggested that the Rules Committee will simply change Rule 40 to arrange whatever outcome is necessary to block Trump, but Gidley was skeptical of this idea. Normally, a presumptive candidate who has reached the “magic number” of bound delegates needed to secure the nomination can control the rules. If Trump is held below that 1,237-delegate threshold this year, the Rules Committee could theoretically rewrite the rules to hurt him, but Gidley anticipated sheer chaos if such tactics were employed.

Obama did not seek, as required by the Constitution, the advice of the Senate, except as a political stunt.
The Senate is not required under the Constitution to have an "up or down vote".
They CAN simply say no.
It's not a moral issue, it's a political issue.
I think they SHOULD vote (against him), but to give the most divisive president of my lifetime some kind of moral high ground is a leap into the abyss.

 Not that Biden's words mean anything, but great video for refuting Obama's selection.....let the new President +TRUMP nominate a conservative judge, not an establishment junkie to fill the post.......Garland is beholden to the Clinton's for where he is today and that is tragic and disastrous for the USA......the Clinton's are known criminals.....+WAKE UP AMERICA....NO, emphatically NO, do not vote this man in as +SCOTUS....this is a vote for islamic rule in this country.......do the research and find out.....if this Garland is appointed to the Supreme Court he is beholden to Obama, Obama wants to replace Banki Moon with himself as head of the UN....that would put Obama as head leader of the muslims and +islamic rule...this is a dangerous decision......PLEASE rethink your position on this nominee....unless of course you wish to live under Sharia law.
